Drayton Manor Hotel and Theme Park is the perfect destination for a short family break. We are super proud to be blogger ambassadors for Drayton Manor Theme Park and were recently invited to see the latest features the park has to offer for the new season. There are now even more reasons to stay and play at Drayton Manor Hotel and Theme Park. If you are thinking about planning a weekend break to help make the most of your holidays this year, I strongly recommend adding a stay here to your family bucket list.
Drayton Manor Hotel
Drayton Manor Hotel is the perfect place to stay for an active family break. It’s a 4 star hotel situated on the edge of the village of Fazeley in Staffordshire. It offers superb accommodation across its 148 rooms and is dedicated to providing the very best customer experience.
You can stay in family rooms, executive suites, presidential rooms or your very own Thomas & Friends themed room if someone in your party is a Thomas The Tank Engine fan. The hotel also boasts 2 bars, 2 restaurants, a comfortable residents lounge and a free car park. Thomas & Friends themed nights are also available for the young guests that may include games, DVD’s and lots more fun besides.
The hotel is situated 20 metres from the entrance of Drayton Manor Theme Park making it the perfect retreat to recharge your batteries throughout your fun packed weekend.
Drayton Manor Theme Park
We never tire of visiting Drayton Manor Theme Park and Thomas Land. As a part of our role as blogger ambassadors we get to enjoy a season pass to visit the attraction when ever we like. This gets well used I can tell you as Drayton Manor Theme Park is considered the Best UK Attraction for Children in the Group Leisure Awards, and we wholeheartedly agree.
We spend our time exploring Thomas Land but I cannot wait until the girls are a bit older and want to go on Ben 10 Ultimate Mission & G Force. I have been on Shockwave with teen, and it was super scary. I think I closed my eyes and screamed all the way round. It was brilliant!
The Haunting is perfect for visitors who enjoy an element of the supernatural to their theme park experiences. This attraction has been revamped for 2016 providing visitors with a more authentic supernatural experience. Dare you enter The Haunting to discover the spooky happenings taking over Drayton Manor Theme Park in 2016?
Our favourite place to visit is Thomas Land as it provides younger children with one of the most magical theme park experiences I think they will ever have. Thomas Land was expanded in 2015, and is now bigger and better than ever. There are lots of rides, meaning that when the park is busy you still won’t have to wait to long to go on a ride. It’s about 30 minute wait at the most depending on which ride you take.
The best thing about Thomas Land is the variety of rides available for children to enjoy. It really is like stepping onto the island of Sodor as you ride on the new Toby The Tram, take Winston’s Whistle Stop Tour over the park or take of on Jeremy’s Jets Academy (which is a personal favourite of ours). It really is perfect for young imaginations to enjoy.
Drayton Manor Zoo
Drayton Manor is also home to a 15 acre zoo which includes around a 100 species of animals including meerkats and sumatran tigers. It’s a lovely part of the park to walk through and enjoy the animals. Children love zoos don’t they?
This Easter saw the opening of the new Tamarin Trail and we were lucky enough to see the cute monkeys in their new home before the official opening. The Tamarin Trail provides the monkeys with much larger enclosures for them to play and for visitors to watch their antics. The zookeeper told us they are settling in well to their new homes, and are very much enjoying the new space they have.
As a visitor it’s lovely to see the tamarin monkeys have more space to enjoy and be happy in their environment.
I hope you will agree there are lots of reasons to book a short family break at Drayton Manor Hotel in 2016. We are lucky enough to only live an hour away from the theme park but having the hotel means that families that live further afield can also enjoy a visit to Drayton Manor Theme Park and Thomas Land.
